Hi there! I have four pallets with different markings on each and have not been able to identify what they mean. I hope someone can help me out: H8H9H10G8A No other markings on these pallets. I’m hoping the H stands for heat-treated but want to be certain. Thank you!

It was a warning to people burning pallets in log burners which were widely castigated. I have been breaking down a pallet to make some bedside tables. The classification on it said it was from the USA, code 01391 and was HT. I figured it was safe to use. It was a beautiful brown and cream color but when I sanded it down the brown turned to grey and so I no longer know if I should use it.
